berlin-based designer aileen klein produces high-quality upcycling wardrobes for women. its latest collections have been made entirely from trashed goods, vintage finds or selected second hand pieces that were deconstructed, reworked or changed in shape. while using boxy, stern men's tailoring as a base for upcycling, aileen klein creates sharp female silhouettes for everyday use.
aileen is a graduate from weißensee kunsthochschule berlin and gained experience as designer for vetements in paris, as costume designer for pieces at komische oper berlin, biennale musica venice, radialsystem berlin ao. and as design teacher for both refugee projects and fashion design students.
