berlin-based designer aileen klein produces high-quality upcycling wardrobes. her series are entirely produced from trashed goods, vintage finds or selected second hand pieces that were deconstructed, reworked or changed in shape. due to its production process, each piece is one-of-a-kind.

aileen is a graduate from weißensee kunsthochschule berlin and gained experience as designer for vetements in paris and as costume designer for pieces at komische oper berlin, biennale musica venice, radialsystem berlin. she works as design teacher and lecturer at universities and community spaces, where she gives workshops on upcycling, draping and collective practices.
